What’s the difference between a Landing Page and a normal Website page in Kajabi?
I have designed many, many websites in Kajabi, and there’s one thing that often stumps me when I am creating pages…do I use a website page or a landing page?
Everyone raves about landing pages on Kajabi and I totally understand the logic behind them (see below) but frankly I often find it more useful to build a standard website page because it automatically incorporates my brand settings (colours and fonts) without me needing to set these up all over again.
This very question came up recently in the Official Kajabi Facebook group, and it was interesting to me to see that it was a fellow Squarespacer who was asking the question. She is considering moving to Kajabi as she is an online educator now and she is wondering if it makes more sense for her to host her courses on a dedicated LMS (Learning Management System) like Kajabi than continue on Squarespace. Anyway, I digress! The point is that she was finding it difficult to wrap her head around the idea of landing pages in Kajabi and used the FB group to ask the community why they use them.
Before I get into the results of her poll, here are the basic differences between a landing page and a sales page in Kajabi.

Brand Consistency: As I mentioned above, Landing Pages in Kajabi do not automatically inherit your brand details, so you need to set them again in the page settings of your Landing Pages. That said, once you create your first landing page, with all your settings in place, you can then duplicate this page for subsequent landing pages, so everything is already set up.
Clear Call-to-Actions: Whether it’s a subscription form on a landing page or a contact form on a website page, the CTA should be clear and compelling.

Back to the poll in the FB group, of the 55 votes, 22% of voters said they use landing pages predominantly with ads, 61% of voters said they use landing pages without ads. Only 2% said they don’t use landing pages and 15% said they don’t use website pages…so it looks like most Kajabi-users do take advantage of the Landing Page templates and functionalities to get more conversions, even without using ads.
