Getting a new website might seem like an insurmountable mountain.

Our Website Design Process
Getting a new website is a big decision for your business, but it’s also exciting and a great opportunity to finally have a website that does more than simply describe what you do. Now you’re going to have a site that really builds your business!
All Designs for Growth Squarespace or Kajabi website design packages include a full creative consultancy and project management service. It is a collaborative process and this is how it works:
-
Set up a call with me to tell me about your business and your website needs.
We will talk about your existing website, if you have one, your business and what you are aiming to achieve.
-
After our call, I will send you a written proposal outlining the costs and the steps involved in working with Designs for Growth.
Once we agree to work together, we will send you an invoice for 50% of the fee which will book you into our design diary for an agreed start date.
-
We try to make the website process as simple as possible for you.
However, you will have homework, namely preparing your content and imagery. I work with copywriters and photographers, so if you need help with that, just let me know.
Or perhaps you’ll decide to do some positioning work or brand design work with us first, in which case this will be the first step in the process.
Before our web design date: I will set up a Google Drive folder to upload your site images and written content. I will also send you a design questionnaire. This takes less than an hour to complete and really helps you focus your mind on what sort of website you want.
-
Monday of week 1: We meet on Zoom to review your content and agree on the look and feel of the website.
Tuesday - Friday: Almost no time or effort is required from you here. In this week I build the entire site out, so you can get on with running your business. I will advise you on which Squarespace plan to use and walk you through setting up your account.
Friday: I send you a link to the site and you can browse through the site normally on a computer, phone, or tablet. You then write your list of site edits for me.
Monday of week 2: We go back and forth with edits and modifications throughout the second week.
-
Friday of week 2: LAUNCH DAY! We jump on a 1.5 hour call for a lesson on using Squarespace and to officially launch the site.
We run you through a full lesson on the backend of your new Squarespace site. We teach you how to use the site, update and edit it, as well as focus on areas that are especially important for you. We record this lesson online, so that you can refer back to it. We also put a link to the lesson on a hidden page on your website.
Then, we link up any remaining bits of functionality (eg. social media links, your email list system, appointment scheduling system, etc.) The site is then live to the world and we’re all done!
From our first consultation call I knew I would work with Designs For Growth. They understood exactly what needed and guided me with their professionalism, expertise, understanding and efficiency.”
Ruth Adams, Florence Lingerie Dún Laoghaire
I contacted 3 marketing consultants to discuss my project, and Lucy clearly stood out from the beginning. She exceeded my expectations, creating clear project milestones, has a friendly and warm communication style, and ultimately delivered to a high level.
Gavin Tonks, HR Staffing, Blackrock, Co Dublin
One of the things our clients love about working with Designs For Growth is our well-defined processes. Being organised helps to keep your project and deliverables on track.
That doesn’t mean we’re not flexible, if anything we bend over backwards for our clients a bit too much!
Frequently Asked Questions About Our Website Design Services
-
If you are just need a website, I will build it using the Squarespace Content Management System. Why? Because I believe in that Squarespace is the perfect platform for most Small and Medium sized business owners who want a beautifully designed website that incorporates all the functionalities you could require, while being easy to use, secure and robust.
If you are a course creator and need a website as well as an LMS, you may want to consider Kajabi which is a really robust platform which in incorporates both. Kajabi is a very powerful tool and, although it is not as robust in my opinion as Squarespace as a website platform, it does tick a lot of boxes and the course-creation, CRM and marketing functionalities it offers are really impressive.

I have a two week web-design process that guarantees that your site will be live to the world within 10 working days. This process does require some homework beforehand on your behalf, however! You must prepare your site content in advance of me getting started and you must be available to provide comments/feedback/edits during the two week design schedule.
If we are working on an online course set-up or membership community, it may take a bit longer, but the pure website element will only take ten working days.

For this we will need access to your hosting account (LetsHost/Blacknight/Hosting Ireland etc) so that we can point your domain to the new website. Squarespace can host .com domains but for a .ie domain you will need to get this from a hosting company and we will direct it to the new website.

Squarespace and Kajabi allow for easy integration of page titles, descriptions etc for SEO purposes. We will ask you for key words and phrases to incorporate into these SEO settings. We also give our clients a short lesson in SEO so that you can take other relevant actions to improve their site’s ranking on the Search Engine Results Pages.
We also offer a SEO Keyword Audit if you already have a website. This audit looks at the keywords and phrases you are currently ranking for as well as the ones you should be trying to rank for (based on popularity and level of difficulty). The audit provides a list of suggested content for future blogging/vlogging, based on the data of what people are searching for in your niche. We also look at your competition, what keywords they are ranking for and what backlinks they are getting from other reputable websites.
